She was the runner up of 2009 Femina Miss South India contest held in Chennai, while she won the Miss Beautiful Hair title at the Femina Miss India contest.Dwivedi made her acting debut with the Kannada film Veera Madakari with Sudeep as her co-star in 2009. The film became a major commercial success of the year with her role being noticed. Following this, she appeared in a star-studded film Gokula in a brief role.
