She was born to the couple G. Balachandra Menon and Pushpa. He father G. Balachandra Menon is an assistant cinematographer. She has one brother named Jayadev. He currently lives in Vancouver, Canada. She studied at Holy Family Girls' High School in Chembukkavu near Kerala State Zoo Thrissur. She describes herself as a restless and a confused person and someone who's "hard to handle". She had grown up with an aspiration to become an actress. She recalls that when she was at five-year-old she used to imitate famous South Indian actress Amala's scenes from the Malayalam film Ente Sooryaputhrikku in front of the mirror. Also She was even willing to jump from a building and break her arm like Amala's character did in that film. She is one of the brand ambassadors along with famous actress Mamta Mohandas for team Kerala Strikers for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).
