She was praised unanimously for her portrayal of a Telugu village belle in this movie. She went on to appear in her first Tamil film, Udhayan starring Arulnidhi.She was then signed up for her second Tamil project Saguni opposite Karthi which released in both Tamil and Telugu. Saguni was her biggest release. In fact it released in a record 1150 theaters all over the world and 450 theaters alone in Telugu language. It was the highest Tamil movie to do so after Rajnikanth's Robot.
